OE Style Carpet Kits 1962-80 MGB

The carpet material used in these sets is made to the original specification and manufactured by the original supplier. Footwell carpets have a heavy-duty latex compound on the back of the carpet, which is fire resistant and waterproof. The tunnel section is hard molded felt that has carpet laminated to it. All other carpet is without backing to help you to fit wheel arches and wells. Full fitting instructions are included. The front toe boards have the carpet glued to pre-creased boards to make installation easy and the carpet edges are bound as original. Heel mat is sewn into the front footwell carpet for durability. Battery cover has sound-insulated felt adhered to it like original. Rear wheel arch covers are gusseted and sewn for proper fit. Carpet clips and floor studs are included. MGB-GT model kits include molded rear wheel arches and 1/2" insulated felt-backed carpet to cover the rear deck back and footwells. Prior to installation, prefit your new carpet over your existing carpet to ensure proper fit and placement. Carpet Kit may vary in appearance from illustration depending on your car's model. Basic Fitting For All Carpets: Tools needed: wrench, scissors, awl and chalk. Glue as required. Remove your seats from the car. Place the items in the car to see how they fit. It may be necessary to trim the raw edges of the carpet with scissors. After the carpet is in place, use an awl to locate the seat bolt pattern and seat belt fixings. Mark the pattern with chalk and cut through the carpet accordingly. Replace seats.
