| The Coventry Hood & Sidescreen company was taken under Tickford's wing in May 1989. Trim Technology bought out the Tickford soft trim manufacturing division at Bedford in August 1995. All original BL Soft tops are made by Coventry Hood using the original build bucks and tooling. All current tops are manufactured using a material that is as near as possible to the OE specification as available. The design is as the original, including false bottoms, rain channels, and on some models, zip out rear windows. The Coventry Hood name that Trim Technology markets the product under has always stood for a quality product that is as close to the original as possible, and people know that when purchasing a top from Trim Technology, they are getting the best possible product available on the market for their vehicle. OE Convertible Tops come complete with all necessary fasteners, but not installed. All you do is attach your old clamps, mount your new top to your existing frame and install your existing header rail. Instructions are included. INSTALLATION TIP FOR FASTENERS: Take a piece of chalk and coat the top of the fastener which is installed on the vehicle. Place the Convertible Top in position and stretch the material to the proper placement and push in against the fastener you covered with chalk.
