| Install it once and forget it. Replacing your mild steel exhaust with a Stainless Steel Exhaust increases the longevity of your exhaust system. High-quality stainless steel is used throughout the system including the affiliated parts such as welds, brackets and other internal components. Stainless steel is a generic term for a group of corrosion resistant steels containing a minimum of 10.5 percent of chromium. Ferritic steel, which is used in exhaust systems, has chromium as the main element, therefore making it resistant to corrosion and rust. Falcon has made improvements from the original locking and seaming method. They use a welded joint between case and endplate to ensure a gas tight joint. The internal construction of silencer/muffler sections is the same as original. It uses the same number of endplates and baffles to provide gas passage and performs with similar levels of back pressure as your original system.
